About

Justine Maughan is an abstract artist based in Queanbeyan NSW. Her practice is grounded in intuitive, process-led painting, where colour, movement and texture become a language for emotion, memory and inner landscape.

Working primarily in abstraction, Justine explores the subtle and often unspoken layers of human experience — identity, place, change and the evolving self. Her paintings are less about representation and more about resonance, inviting viewers to connect through feeling, atmosphere and personal interpretation.

Drawing on a background in creative therapeutic practice, her work is informed by a deep interest in transformation, emotional depth and the ways creativity can reveal what words often cannot.
